Abstract
Today's professional nurse strives to meet high standards of patient care through the use of evidence-based practice (EBP) and quality improvement initiatives. Although EBP and quality improvement have received significant attention in today's healthcare environment, a Nursing model of care is foundational to exceptionalNursing practice. Therefore, it's imperative that hospitals identify, develop, or refine a model of care that best reflects the professionalNursing practice within their organization.
