Description

Image of the grave of Martin Van Buren, which is in the local Dutch Reformed cemetery in the Village of Kinderhook, New York. The gravestone is an obelisk of pale stone that has the following engraved in it: "Martin Van Buren, Vice President of the United States: Born Dec. 5, 1782. Died July 24, 1862; Hannah Van Buren, His Wife; Born March 8, 1788. Died at Albany N.Y. Feb. 5, 1819." There are additional grave stones around it and trees in the background.
