A single element NaI(Tl) light particle detector

The feasibility of resolving protons, deuterons, tritons, and alpha particles over a large energy range with asingle NaI(Tl) scintillator is demonstrated. This is accomplished by combining light output, time-of-flight, and pulse shape information.
