A report was published in De Hollander on this date about the celebration of Memorial Day in Holland. The parade consisted of the Holland City Band, the Fire Department, veterans, members of the City Council and many other people. Addresses were given by Dr. Albertus C. Van Raalte, Rev. Abel T. Stewart, pastor of Hope Reformed Church, Rev. J. Vander Meulen of Muskegon, and "others." Flowers were strewn on the graves of the fallen soldiers.
