At a consistory meeting of the First Reformed Church at which Elder Pijster served as chairman, article four dealt with a letter from Rev. Albertus C. Van Raalte on three different matters: the Wakker problems, collections for the various boards, and concerning the call to Rev. Joh. Brummelkamp. "After considerable discussion, it was decided to request the Rev, to come to our meeting so that the matter [of Wakker] can be dealt with."
