Elder Keppel was chosen chairman of the consistory meeting of the First Reformed Church in the absence of Rev. Albertus C. Van Raalte. Two elders reported that they rebuked a member for his abuse of strong drink. Again receipts have been inadequate for the care of the poor. A house near the church became available for purchase so the consistory will meet with the building committee on August 22.
