In a letter to his mother, Mrs. Christina de Moen Van Raalte, son Benjamin wrote of his experiences in this new location. He appreciated receiving two letters from home. He is well and reports also that brother Dirk is well and working in the hospital. Ben seems to enjoy army life very much. On Sunday, he is able to go to the local Presbyterian church.
