Artists' Statement: My book's main focus is on deep-sea fishing. This inspired me to submerge my book in a warm sea salt mixture for an entire day. After the book was completely waterlogged, I allowed it to dry before using bookbinding glue to attach sand to the pages and cover. I then hung my carefully crafted book in an authentic fishing net and tied it up against the wall. I wanted the book to appear as though it had been fished from the depths of the ocean.'
