Includes eleven letters received from faculty members while he was in the Army during World War One. Correspondents include John De Boer, Winifred Durfee, Ludwig Eyme, Almon Godfrey, Arthur Heusinkveld, John Kuizenga, Elma Martin, Frances Phelps Otte, and Frank Patterson.
