George Henry Montanari was born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, in 1965 to Giotti and Shirley Montanari. He was granted a B.S. from Lynchburg College (Lynchburg, Virginia) in 1987. He received his M.Div. degree from Western Theological Seminary in 1990. He was licensed by the Classis of Passaic, New Jersey, in 1988 and ordained by the same in 1990. He served as a missionary to Native Americans in Apache, Oklahoma, starting in 1991 and currently serves as pastor at Middlebush Reformed Church in Somerset, New Jersey. The collection includes an audiotape cassette of Native Americans singing Comanche hymns recorded at the Apache Reformed Church near Fort Sill, Oklahoma, on January 27, 1989. (M)
